It was when I was shortlisted for the Out & Proud initiative to model for the Bangalore Times Fashion Week that I got to experience the world of glamour and I loved it. I am grateful to the platform,” says Neethu.
Currently, Neethu is busy with three projects. “I have shot for a Telugu web series Jhansi, where I play a negative character. Another Kannada film has me playing the lead role. I have also bagged a role in Upendra's film UI, which I am most excited about. The team found me on social media and that’s how I landed the role,” says Neethu. The artiste adds that she feels it is high time the stereotyping of transgender characters ended. “The queer community, especially transgender people, has been stereotyped in most scripts. I want to do films that portray the transgender community right,” she signs off.
